four years ago i entered the blogging realm. i started by capturing the moments of my travels in south america: from the quaint living in bolivia to the vibrant city life of chile. following that, i continued writing. initially only writing about the cool things i was doing. glorifying the essence of adventure. but i soon found that every day of my life is an adventure. from the pot of coffee that leaks on my desk to the conviction of my heart to the love i give to the mountain i summit. every day is an adventure because He is alongside me every day.
i found myself getting frustrated with the monotony of the layout on blogger. though it is a great tool and helped me develop my passion for writing, i want something that can be more organized. something where i can share my photography and have some of my favorite photos in one place. an interface that is more user friendly. so, if you are reading this, i want to welcome you to my latest development. i took a step and decided to play with the big dogs. welcome to my new home: birks and wool socks.
i've pulled in a few of my postings from over the years (still fine tuning and integrating posts). however, i highlighted some of my favorite posts from the years from ilovebeingadventurous.blogspot.com
i must say, it was quite fun going through and perusing the 90+ posts i've had. and how fun to look at the transition of my writing! especially the turning point when i start incorporating my faith a bit more and feeling comfortable in the boldness.
i love being able to share my introspect and life with whomever may be reading. whether it is someone who follows my blog or the individual who happened to stumble upon it while scrolling through their feed during their poop break at work. but it's definitely a scary thing--sharing your heart. however, over the years, i've had several people message me privately sharing that a thought of mine was a reminder, an encouragement, a laugh, or a hug. and that's what i want this to be! i want this blog to feel like a warm hug. a comfort. an encouragement. a place of vulnerability. a no judgement giraffe zone.
so, here's to new adventure! one just as quirky and happy as ever.
xoxo
