whimsical winter, a haiku:

the dogs are barking,

i take a sip of coffee -

staring out the pane.

from the winter sky

delicate ice crystals fall -

a sign of the end.

abstract thoughts wander

in the recess of my mind -

chaos and yearning.

serendipitous

snow covers the evergreens -

hope begins to stir.

whimsical winter:

mourning and celebration

of what is to come.
